Black Hill Regional Park
West Old Baltimore Road
Germantown, MD
(301)972-9396
The park is located in the upper portion of the County, west of I-270 and north of Germantown.
The 4.3-mile Black Hill Trail is asphalt surface for most of its length, but the mid-section of the trail is natural surface and is steep and rocky in sections. The rest of the trails in the park are natural surface.
The dominant feature of the trail system is the 505-acre Little Seneca Lake. The lake is a popular bird breeding and habitation area, so plenty of birds can usually be seen from the trails.
Ample parking is available in the picnic area of the park, along Lake Ridge Drive. A Trail Guide may be obtained at the Visitor center.
